Susan M. Adams has wrongfully fired a very well known and liked instructor. Susan's own word's were that this employee was fired for "personal reasons". You can not fire someone for "personal" reasons. Susan then proceeded to tell some long standing gym member's that if they didn't like it they could go elsewhere and that they only represent 10% of their members. She need's to be stopped. I called last week to cancel my membership, the associate asked me if I had tried to cancel on the internet, I said I found no way to do it. I answered all the woman's questions, then she put me on hold for a long time. When she finally came back on, she said she would call back with a cancellation number. I had a 1 year membership with Gold's Gym Calgary, it ended after 1 year and then went to a month to month basis. I called to cancel my membership but they want a certified letter and they want to charge me 90 days cancelation fees !!! My membership was OVER and they still want to charge me... is there any legal ways for me to Call my credit card provider and tell them to refuse any attempt from ABC to get money ?? Read more

I closed my account with an ex employee named Sean Shipman. I provided proof of relocation which was hours away from the closest Gold's gym ( I also was laid off suffering financial hardship) and was told that that allowed me to break a contract. He told me he successfully submitted all documentation and the account was closed. We shook hands and parted ways. Years have gone by and no charges on my account. No bills. No calls. No notices. 1) reasonable gym membership price $25 month by month with additional about $50-80 joining fees and annual service fees. 2) classes are okay but some were very bad. 3) gym conditions are okay 4) toilet is not really clean most of times 5) yoga room is old and dark 6) receptionists are friendly and very helpful 7) Friday's 8:15am yoga instructor class is the best 8) the Zumba and bodyjam classes are the same routines forever - same routines for... Please i want to complain that today in golds zayed during my spinning class with instructor mohamed hussein, his wife was in the bike next to me and she was extremely rude to me the whole class and at the end of class she through her towel on me and then she through my towel on the floor. After completing my contract, I decided to cancel because the gym down the street was much cheaper. I went in and filled out a membership cancellation form. They tried to charge me "last month's fee" but I had just paid an auto-billed fee for the following month (which hadn't started yet) and didn't think I should have to pay it. The guy said he would check with his Assistant Manager and call me if there was an issue. I never heard from him.... Read more

My husband and I signed up for the $10 a month special in January. They did tell us that if we were still members in April we would each be charged an additional $50.
