Recently I paid for a 6 month membership to the Fort Walton Beach Snap Fitness Gym. After about a month I was ostracized during my work out in front of the other members that I could not wear blue jeans to work out in.

There was no mention of this dress code regulation in my contract nor were there any posted signs. I was the only person ostracized for this "new" regulation which makes me "reasonably" think that I am being discriminated against for my wearing blue jeans to work out in. I maintained that I would pay for any negligent damage that I may have caused to the equipment and have always complied with any and all of their posted signs. In the least I think that this "new" regulation should have been given to all members instead of just myself.

At any rate I have asked for my membership fees to be returned and the membership fees of those other persons that I incouraged to join. The Golds Gym has no such "new" dress code.

Just thought that you would like to hear about what this franchize owner is doing for your business.

What does it matter if someone works out in jeans. Dress code: wear clothing that does not expose specific body parts plain and simple.

Just because someone else chooses to wear work out gear great. And if the worry is the button or zipper, what about cell phones, water bottles, rings, ear rings causing damage.

We would all be nude if your going to turn it into a nitpick fest. No statement on contract/no posted sign/no worries

While at a baseball game this summer they asked us all to *** our hats when they were playing the Star Spangled Banner. I feel this is discrimination against people wearing hats because no where on the tickets does it say that you have to remove your hat when they play the Star Spangled Banner.

On a more serious note seriously there are some dress code standards which the average human being knows without being told.

I bet the reason this new regulation was only given to you rather than everyone else was because everyone else had the common sense not to workout in jeans so they did not need to be told. Like Tasha and to Tasha said some people don't have common sense, and cry discrimination when they don't get their way.

I hate the Gold's Gym in Tooele. An employee approached me from the back and said "hey, Boss!" Another employee would ignore my questions and statements about a membership and continually proceed his *** hard sell.

I hate the how I was treated in the Gold's Gym in Tooele.

Some people just don't have common sense. That is why these gyms have to "discriminate" against people wearing jeans and set new policies.

I am sure this person is not the only one who is unable to use common sense and wear work out clothes. When working out you need loose fitting clothes to work out safely and peoperly.

I am sure this is not the only perosn who does not know this. Also I am pretty sure they had left signs beforehand about the jeans but she took no notice and when they called her on it she got embarassed which could have been prevented with a little common sense and reading the signs around her.

They did not post this jeans policy because they expect you to use your brain and common sense. This is not discrimination.

You need proper clothes to work out. Were the other members wearing jeans? No but you were so they have to tell you not to. First of all just because you are acting like a nine year old does not mean they have to return your membership fees.

Also are you tight for cash that you want the money for those you referred.

Unless you paid for their membership they do not have to give you the money. They are the ones who should be getting the money.

I am so embarrassed to sorry I'm part Norwegian. Levi's Jeans were made for those working the Gold Rush - jeans that you could bend in, kneel, squat, and move while swirling what's in your metal bowl looking for gold.

And in your Levi's, you'd do the same actions and movements over and over again.

Jeans are loose fitting, except for when seen in the out-dated European-made 1980's style music videos

Levi Jeans are an American Way of Life, here in the United States of America.

And, NO, there are no signs you cannot wear jeans.

What bull *** common sense you are talking about..under no law of land these private gyms make any rule or policy to stop people from wearing anything...if someone wears revealing clothes that will come under public indecency..and is different case...
